This can be handy if you cannot monitor an auction for a long period, and to avoid any last second bidding problem. If a certain auction doesn't attract many bidders and no "bid war" occur, you can get some pretty good deals. Sometimes you can even get them almost free! It's possible to get valuable products for 2 or 3 bids if you bid at the right time...
